The function of an air cooler is to reduce the temperature of air that has passed through a Turbocharger before it enters the engine, optimising the engine performance. Air coolers are liquid cooled tubular designs aimed at use on test beds, marine engines and other static engines including fire water pumps. Their floating tube stack design makes them easy to service and allows for thermal expansion to occur within the heat exchanger housing.
Air coolers can be used on land based and marine engines, depending on the material selection. Both types are listed on the tables below but please contact us if you are unsure of the best model for you.
